Uncle Kills Niece For Refusing To Wash His Clothes

Last Thursday, residents of Kwaku community in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were thrown into mourning when a man identified as Sunday,allegedly beat his 19-year old niece, Cecilia David to death. reports that, at about 8:45am that day, the man went to the deceased's house and beat her mercilessly for refusing to wash his clothes. According to the paper's witness, the girl responded to his asking why she didn't wash his clothes by saying she was plaiting her hair. Apparently, her answer offended the man, and he started punching and kicking her. "In the process, the girl slumped and people started pouring water on her in order to revive her, before she was rushed to the hospital," said the witness. The JSS 2 girl was later confirmed dead by the hospital and she was buried on Friday evening. The suspect has reportedly been arrested and will be charged in court after investigation.
